Review

We have been devotees of the Cubbyhouse since it opened it’s doors at the beginning of 2011.. It’s the perfect space for families and, added to that, the ladies who run the place are not only friendly – but caring and in tune with how little people operate.  Bec and Narelle, who happen to be sisters, have a background in early childhood development, they also happen to be amazing in the kitchen and, on top of that, they’re bloody hard workers.. hello – open 7 days a week!!!

The menu is equally split to cater for little people as well as grown ups – and the treats on offer are a mix of simple, naughty and healthy – but always delicious – as well as options for babies.

Nestled down a back street with two fantastic fenced playgrounds and loads of space to kick a footy or just run about – it’s easy to spend a whole morning or afternoon hanging out here.

And during the warmer months the girls offer kids only dinners – which you can enjoy on one of their picnic rugs out on the grass.  Let’s hope their liquor licence is all sorted by summer time – although we may never go home…!

On the days you don’t fancy being outside there is complimentary playdough to keep little fingers busy and space to hang out inside.

So yes, we β™₯ the Cubbyhouse and the Union St Park.
