Chris Humfrey (Zoo Comes To You and also known from ABCTV) is utterly engaging and keeps the pace moving so we never had a moment to loose concentration (in fact he moves so much it was quite a challenge to get photos).
Kids and adults alike were both delighted and absorbed – and the range of animals was impressive. Not just any old snake and a lizard kind of show, oh no these snakes were huge, add to that the dingo, wallaby, owl, kookaburra, crocodile, koala and more and more – there was lots of ohhing and ahhing!
Throughout there was loads of audience participation – if you want to sit up front make sure you queue 15 minutes before the show as there is limited floor space for the kids to sit up front (and it filled quickly). Chris Humfrey is not only an impressive presenter – he’s also insanely gifted at remembering his audiences names.. as the children got spots on the floor he was chatting with them and asking them their names – which he then recalled throughout the show.
At the end we were invited to come up and meet/touch some of the animals as well as take photos. Oh and after touching there is some hand sanitiser available to use at the candy bar.
The kids love coming to Wonderlands – we went to the 1.30pm show and had to drag the kids out at 5pm when the rides finally closed for the day. We came for the show – and that is what was long remembered, but the addition of the attractions outside make it a great day out.
A final note – the show is 45 minutes with approximate 15 minutes for the meet and greet afterwards.
