If you have kids who like LEGO then this is a fantastic FREE event that will wow fans of all ages.
When: 10am – 4pm, until 13 July 2014
Where: Just beyond the food court, Watergardens Town Centre, 399 Melton Highway TAYLORS LAKES
At the Watergardens Brick Zone there is a DUPLO area for younger children and for the big kids an even bigger LEGO section. And for kids who like a challenge you can join in the Speed Play Competition which happens at 12 and 12.30pm daily – registrations open daily at 11am.
With no gift shop to navigate through, some pretty amazing pre-built LEGO sculptures and the LEGO mascot Max making regular appearances (on weekends) I have to say as a parent it was an easy mornings entertainment.
There is a cafe just a few metres away and if you do need LEGO supplies Big W, Target and Toyworld are on site at Watergardens Town Centre.
Be sure to quiz the Brick Zone staff about the incredible brick creations on display around the centre, including:
Apollo 11 Rocket: see the tallest Lego model in Australia with over 120,000 pieces!
Location: Outside Zoe’s Kitchen
ELVIS Erikson Air Crane Helicopter: measuring a staggering 4.2m wide by 3m high
Location: Outside General Pants
Lego Love Boat: an amazing replica of the 1980s ‘Love Boat’ show which includes over 250,000 LEGO® pieces
Location: Between Michel’s Patisserie and Bakers Delight
Sydney Opera House: a super cool cut away displaying the interior of the Opera House during a concert
Location: Outside Jeep
Sydney Harbour Mystery Mosaic: an incredible mosaic built on site which includes over 170,000 LEGO® pieces.
Location: Outside Rhumba’s
