This is the Australian premier of the Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. – and it’s only here for a short time.  Book your visit time in advance (as spots are filling for weekends and holidays) and don’t be late!

I did a very quick walk through and the experience took me about 45 minutes – but if I had stopped to read some of the vast content or interacted more with some of the displays I am sure it could have easily taken an hour or more (being a media preview there was no queues to wait for a turn of what I imagine will be the very popular games towards the end!).

Outside the building (at the back) is a recreated New York Diner called MidTown – it’s run by the team from Tommy Collins which means authentic diner meals along side some pretty amazing sounding (and Marvel inspired) cocktails… if I didn’t have to race off to school pick up I would have definitely taken up their offer to try a couple!!  You don’t need to be visiting the Marvel Avenger’s experience to hang out at the diner either… so if you’re taking the kids and you’d rather kick back with a cocktail then maybe this is a win/win??!

The Avengers immersive experience is recommended for children school aged and above – it’s a bit noisy, there are flashing lights, the characters are life-sized and some of the badies are a bit gruesome looking!  There is lots to read and look at – and there are a few interactive elements which make it fun.  This is not a behind the scenes of the movie – rather an opportunity to know the characters more indepth and the science behind their powers more deeply.

What else – probably best to make a toilet stop before you go in, and once you enter the last room (through a curtain) you are at the end, so if there was one thing you wanted to revisit make sure you do that before you head through!
