Comfort Inn City Views Ballarat
The Comfort Inn City Views Ballarat is centrally located and beautifully maintained – whilst I didn’t notice any city views (at least not from our side of the building) it was most definitely comfortable and clean.
Where: Comfort Inn & Suites City Views, 101 Curtis St, BALLARAT
Cost: Family accommodation starts at $209/night, click here for more information.
Our itinerary while we were in Ballarat was jam packed – Visit Ballarat had us going non stop.. so it was a huge relief to roll up to our accommodation and find it clean, quiet, warm and very comfortable. In fact we wished we didn’t have to race out so early the next morning as those beds were comfy (and my kids seem to think watching TV in bed is the best thing ever – I’m not complaining when it gives me an extra 20 minutes of sleeping).
We really only came “home” to sleep.. and don’t tell the kids but there was actually an indoor pool at the hotel. I didn’t dare go and investigate it as I know I’d have never hear the end of the disappointed wails as I said no to a swim – besides we didn’t pack bathers and we didn’t have a spare moment to fit in swimming.
The unexpected highlight was our room service breakfast. Room service for me has pretty much always been a massive disappointment.. except for that time I was at the Sofitel convalescing after giving birth to Immi – moving from hospital to hotel meant that room service was on that occasion amazing because it was so much better than hospital food, but other than that instance I can’t really think of an occasion where room service has arrived and it wasn’t purely an exercise in absorbing some sustenance to get me through to the next meal. When our breakfast arrived at the Comfort Inn City Views Ballarat I immediately regretted not ticking more boxes when I filled out the order slip the night before.
The Comfort Inn City Views offers car parking on site and also free Wifi. And the staff we met were super helpful and lovely.
Disclaimer: Meetoo travelled to Ballarat in July 2015 as guests of Visit Ballarat and we were provided with one nights accommodation and a Ballarat Pass to review. All views are our own. All details were correct at time of publishing.
