This is the story of a girl – stuck in a home life that is bogged down in parents speaking the foreign language of grown up and messy bedrooms (we had played out a very similar conversation only 30 minutes earlier, so this felt very familiar!).

Stuck in her bedroom to contemplate a solution to her father’s frustration Alex decides to empty her toy box – only at the bottom of her toy box is a tunnel… and this is where the fun begins as Alex finds herself in a new world, where everything is a little topsy turvy, called Curiosity.

Alex begins a journey and makes friends along the way – and there are some nice life lessons during her adventures.

The acrobatics are loads of fun and the clowning will definitely appeal to preschoolers and a young junior school aged audience.  That said there were older kids and teenagers in the audience who looked like they were enjoying the show too.

You are welcome to bring food and drink into the venue (there are water jugs and glasses available at the bar) and the coffee van out the front promises to be there most days.

Seating isn’t allocated – so I recommend getting there a little earlier to nab a good seat (there is plenty of room to sit on the floor for the kids) and be warned that the show moves around the space so try and find a seat that doesn’t have a view obscured by a post.

We found street car parking fairly easily – but perhaps that was the advantage of a weekend morning?
