Review

This show felt bigger than other NICA shows in the past; perhaps the internationally renowned director, Firenza Guidi, is responsible?

The set is immediately impressive and unlike any other we have seen in a NICA show before.  The imaginative use of space and props provide a number of wow moments and the skill of the performers means that every year the level of excitement for the audience grows (I am wondering how next year will be able to better this show).

Each of the Acts is based on (or refers to) a dream of one of the performers.

Do not assume that because this is a “graduate show” that it is anything other than one of the best circus performances you could see anywhere in the world.

Given it’s length (2 hours plus 20min interval) I would recommend Dreams From The Second Floor for school aged children and above (although there were some little tots at the opening night show and they didn’t protest at being there!).
