24 March – 2 April – The Very Hungry Caterpillar is live on stage at Chapel Off Chapel.  A very popular production that has sold out in other states.  Click here for more information.  PRAHRAN 

26 March – 19 April – The Arts Centre and The Famous Spiegeltent are hosting loads of fabulous kids Comedy Festival events.  Click here for more information.  CBD

31 March – 5 April – The Arts Centre Melbourne presents Dr Brown Brown Brown Brown Brown and His Singing Tiger… Again!  Suitable for children aged 4+ this madcap, clever, chaotic clowning and crazy stunts, this show will have you giggling for days after!  Click here for more information.  CBD

8 – 19 April – The 26-Storey Tree House is coming to The Arts Centre Melbourne.  Yes, that’s right. Andy and Terry had such a ball with their crash-landing entry into the world of theatre with The 13-Storey Treehouse, they’re back for more. Melbourne Museum: two different daily Family activities included with your entry fee, daily from 11am – 3pm.  1. Spin A Web, which will teach kids how to ‘spin’ thread to create a giant spider web installation and 2. Make A Spider, where kids will learn how to identify common household spiders and then use craft materials to create their own spider to take home.  Further to the spider theme come and check out the Curiosity Lounge where kids can kick back with a bug book and examine all sorts of creepy crawly specimens from our collection. CBD

National Sports Museum: a series of activities for the sports enthusiasts!  Click here for more information.  CBD

Scienceworks:  Just in time for the school holidays is the museum’s newest exhibit Alice’s Wonderland, an interactive exhibit based on the famous Lewis Carroll book, teaching kids about optics and illusions, word play, physics and maths.

Also these holidays Scienceworks is hosting two Deep Oceans – Family Science Nights (Wed 1 & Wed 8 April, 5-7pm). Families are invited to come along and discover the deep sea with the museum’s marine scientists. Kids can dress up as their favourite marine animal, walk the runway and win prizes for best dressed. There will also be a range of activities including making deep sea anglerfish masks complete with glow-in-the-dark lures.  SPOTSWOOD

Darebin Arts is presenting a series of comedy shows just for the kids these school holidays.  NORTHCOTE

These school holidays – Eureka Skydeck patrons will be able to join in FREE Easter-themed badge and bunny ear making activities between 11am – 3.30pm every day of the Easter school holidays.  The green-screen VERTIGO photo booth is still being offered for visitors who wish to create a mock photo of themselves falling from the top of the building!  CBD

30 March – 12 April – SkyHigh is offering daily school holiday activities with its annual Children’s Festival at the lookout point located atop the Dandenongs.   Activities include pony rides, face painting, mini golf, games and music, reptile display, train rides, magic and much more.  Click here for more information.  MT DANDENONG.

Good Friday Appeal Kids Day Out:  Loads of fantastic family friendly activities – all for a Gold Coin donation to the Children’s Hospital to participate. We went along in 2014 and this is a massive and fun event!  CBD.  Click here for more information.  SOUTHBANK

CPR Challenge: learn the skills of infant CPR at the Crown Palladium from 10am – 4pm.  The training is an incredible bargain at $5 (!!!!) which KidzAid are donating to the Children’s Hospital.  Click here for more information.  SOUTHBANK

Munich Brauhaus: from 12midday this Good Friday the South Wharf Bavarian eatery will not only be serving Pork Knuckle and Bier but also hosting games for the kids including an Easter egg hunt, face painting and an egg smash challenge as well as decorating the traditional Bavarian Easter Tree and dancing along with the Fräuleins to the live Oompah band!  All money raised from the egg sales will go to the Good Friday Appeal and encourage families to come together and celebrate Good Friday the Bavarian way.  Click here for more information.  SOUTH WHARF
