Jurassic Creatures has come to town, situated at the Palais carpark in St Kilda. If your little one likes dinosaurs, they’ll be sure to get a buzz from over 30 larger than life dinosaurs.
The animatronics helped us imagine what these creatures may have looked like and behaved in the prehistoric ages, however, the content isn’t that dissimilar to other dinosaur shows that have come to town in recent years.
The highlights for our 7 and 4 year old’s were the fossil dig, jumping castle and sand art. If your children are happy to wait, the dinosaur dodgems looked like fun and there were a number carnival-style amusements to round out the visit.
Most of the experience is exposed to the elements, so make sure to rug up or pick one of Melbourne’s beautiful Spring days when you go. And for good food choices, we recommend packing a little something in advance and taking it in yourself.
For a family this can be an expensive adventure, so if dinosaurs aren’t your thing right now, or you’ve been lucky enough to have seen dinosaurs in the last two years, you might want to think twice. That said this was a new experience for our 4-year-old and he had a great time.
Highlights include:
- Dinosaur exhibition with realistic animatronics
- An Interactive Fossil digging area
- Dinosaur Sandpainting
- 3D Jigsaw Land
- Dinosaur Inflatable Activity Lands
- Rides and more
