Healesville Kids Nature Play Space

Kids Nature Play Space

Healesville Sanctuary has just finished a new play space just between the Sanctuary Harvest Cafe and the kangaroos.  A great spot for some play time for toddlers through to tweens – and a handy coffee spot for parents.  Play in sand, climb through tunnels, swing and climb in the hanging forest and balance on logs.

Before we headed back to Melbourne we stopped for a cold drink and a snack in the Sports Bar at the RACV Healesville Country Club.  On a gorgeous afternoon it was quite the spot to sit back and soak in the view… I’m not sure where everyone else was – but I felt like I had stumbled into a little slice of paradise and it was all ours!  The Sports Bar is open till 5.30pm (winter) or 6.30pm (summer) and serves very simple cafe food.  There are other dinning options at the Country Club – but I am not sure the kids (or I) were quite up to fine dining that particular day.
