Where: Rosebud Foreshore – Mornington Peninsula, 1125 Point Nepean Road, ROSEBUD

Cost: child $21.50, adult $28.50 and family $76.50, book tickets here: dreamworkslights.com.au/the-event

Thank you Sally T Ridden for visiting on behalf of Meetoo and sharing these great photographs and insights.

Lights by DreamWorks is one big amazing large-scale lantern experience under the big top on Rosebud’s stunning foreshore. Experience the interactive two room walk through day or night and marvel at 100+ DreamWorks’ best-known characters from such movies as Shrek, How to Train your Dragons and Kung-Fu all brought to life by light.

The 2.5-hour session is perfect timing to enjoy the whole experience with all the activities included. We lasted 2hrs and 25 minutes to be exact!  Make & decorate your own Kung Fu Panda hanging lantern, colour in your own wooden How to Train your Dragons Viking Shield and trace one of your favourite DreamWorks characters. I suggest you take a decent sized carry bag to carry around all the arts and crafts goodies the kids make themselves. (Oh and ensure you flat-pack the kids lantern again until you get home to avoid damage and tears!).lights by dreamworks

Meet and greet lovable roving characters Shrek, Puss in Boots, Po, Alex the Lion and Gronkle!  The only thing missing is maybe a cuddly female roving character. There are various photo areas to have your photo taken with your favourite characters or you can purchase a professional photo. View the 3-D photo story walls.  Play with the interactive movie tablets set at kids table height.lights by dreamworks

The free rides (yes yes yes all activities are included in the entry ticket price = WIN!!!) are frequently dispersed for minimal queue waits and congestion.  For safety reasons some rides have height restrictions applied.

Lights by DreamWorks is a well thought out for complete family entertainment with something for everyone.  There’s a Sabre-toothed giant slide, the ever-popular Train Ride, a swing Pirate ship, Teacups and ladybug rides.

There’s an auto-café food diner with table seating selling the good ole basics hot food, sandwiches hot & cold drinks, as well as a Slurpee / popcorn stall.

The only additional costs are optional: photo’s, food, merchandise and amusement games.

Pram accessibility, baby change rooms and plenty of porta-toilets ensure this event is a winner for families and all age groups – we highly recommend and absolutely high-five this spectacular Australian first showcase.
