NGV Triennial – FREE Summer fun in Melbourne
The NGV Triennial brings 100 artists together (from 32 different countries) in one of the most ambitious exhibitions to be staged at the NGV. It is family friendly and FREE this summer in Melbourne.
When: 15 December 2017 – 15 April 2018, open 10am – 5pm daily except Christmas Day, extended hours from 19-28 January from 6pm – midnight
Where: NGV International, St Kilda Road MELBOURNE
The Triennial covers four storeys of the NGV International – and at a guess you could easily come back for many many visits and discover new things… with 100 artists works and installations to experience that is a lot of creativity and culture!
The ground floor is a great area to visit with kids as there are dedicated installations especially for them – and if they love to create and build then I suspect We Make Carpets will be an instant hit.
Yayoi Kusama has taken the experience of an afterimage to a new level – and you’re invited to contribute your mark…
And a few other favourite things I saw during my visit on the ground floor….
This is just a taste…. before I left I did discover a bit of a chill out zone up on level 3 (complete with bar and virtual reality).
