Review

The Paris to Provence (or Festival Français du Melbourne) fair is hugely popular!  Always crowded (especially lunchtime where you can expect to queue at all the food traders) yet as it’s spread throughout the gardens of Como House you can usually find a few quieter pockets for a picnic or time out.

Stall holders are generally made up of French businesses from across Melbourne – from furniture to cheese, travel agents to artists, French kindergartens to soap makers; the range is delightful as it is diverse.  You can stock up the pantry and cellar as well as the presents cupboard.

Pre book a wide range of classes (for adults) as well fun activities for the kids.

Throughout the day roving performers add to the joy and atmosphere (although one small boy in our party was terrified of the man in the big red pants – causing the small boy to run for his life on a couple of occasions, much to our amusement; except for the five minutes we actually lost him).  Loads of food options for delicious lunches or treats (or dinners if you come Friday night) as well as lovely wines for the grown ups.

A fun day out for the family – games to play, activities to join in, entertainment and a fabulous atmosphere.
