Opening just in time for winter (and school holidays), SuperZu Playcentre and Cafe in Dingley opened its doors for the first time this May to a crowd of eager children, parents and carers.
SuperZu is far from your average indoor playground, with a whopping 2270m2 floor space filled with zoo themed play equipment suited to children aged 0 to 12 years. To give you an idea of the enormity of Melbourne’s newest play-centre, SuperZu’s climbing trails and caverns stretch to over 1 kilometre, and there are three levels of climbing structures that reach up to 6.5m high in parts.
Highlights include a huge climbing volcano found in SuperZu’s centre, with a long red lava tunnel to slide down the middle, a giant tube slide (Tubby Slide) with inflatable tubes to sit in and race down a 25 metre runway, the ‘Creepy Climber’ tower with six stages of webbing to work through to reach the 4.5m top, a set of safari themed cars to drive around an indoor mini-track, a massive ball cannon arena with eight guns to fire soft play balls into targets, and trampolines to bounce high into the air or mini-trampolines for the little ones to jump lower to the ground.
SuperZu’s party rooms are quite spectacular, offering five private rooms professionally decorated and styled to suit a variety of tastes. Choose to celebrate in the Frozen Room, Jungle Room, Dinosaur Room, Princess Room or Knights and Dragons Room.
You will find a range of hot and cold refreshments available to buy at SuperZu’s cafe, and adequate seating for family members or friends to enjoy some time-out, too.
As one of the largest play-centres found in Australia, with enough indoor adventure play to fill the entire day, the only down side will be trying to get your kids to leave.
