Located just to the side of the main street of Tamworth is the awesome Tamworth Regional Playground, a playground that really does cater for all ages!

On a recent whistlestop trip through Tamworth I pulled out TripAdvisor for a cafe suggestion – and I was directed to Hopscotch Bar & Restaurant… which it turned out was located next to the most incredible playground (and even though it was a sunny weekend morning there were only a few kids there… maybe that’s because I am used to city crowds!).  So while I waited for my coffee from the takeaway coffee window – I raced around and checked the playground out.

Beautifully maintained and with the cafe and public toilets (as well as plenty of picnic and BBQs under shade) – this playground ticked all the boxes.  There was also a bike and walking track running by (with a bike velodrome in the distance) and plenty of green grass area to kick a ball or picnic (not to mention country-town parking!).  Tamworth you get a 10/10 for your incredible playground!

Also worth mentioning, TripAdvisor also suggested Riviera Bar & Grill for dinner – and it was an excellent meal with fabulous service (we definitely stumbled across a great find that night!).  I am sure kids would be welcome as the staff were so friendly and it was connected to a hotel; but full disclaimer, I was dining with my parents so I can’t 100% vouch for a “young” family experience as I was the only child in our party!
