Top 5 pools
My kids love nothing more than hours of water play – throw in some friends and they are good for the day. But sometimes you need something more than a paddling pool and a bucket to get the heart pumping and so we’ve compiled our top 5 list of awesome fun places to play in water.
1. Adventure Park Geelong. This is the kind of excursion that requires a hearty picnic basket and a full day. We are talking from when the gates first open until they shut – if you’re going to make the trip to Geelong and pay $38 (adults and kids over 1.2m) to get in then you want to make the most of it. 2. MSAC. The swimming options are generous – there is the indoor wave pool, water slide, toddler water play area, the small pool (with adjustable floor), the serious lap pools (both indoor and outdoor) and the Wave Rider. For all the details head over to our review…
3. WaterMarc. Two awesome waterslides for the bigger kids and a fantastic water playground for the little ones. Add to that an indoor 50m pool and two small pools for playing in and you’re set for a perfect half day of fun. For all the details head over to our review…

5. Peninsula Hot Springs. This is less play more relax – the warm spring waters are sure to lull the mood of any hyped up water babies and with so many pools to choose from you will spend hours exploring this beautiful bathing complex/nature reserve. For all the details head over to our review…
This one isn’t in Melbourne, but if you’re headed up to Sydney and want to get some beach time in then this is a sweet paddling spot with little ones – Murray Rose Pool in Double Bay. For all the details head over to our review…

There’s also the Seville Water Play park located in Seville. It’s a small play area of huge water jets from the ground and my kids aged 11 and 7 had a fun day there. Suitable for all ages from 2-100! Take a picnic lunch or there’s some cute shops around the corner with a bakery that looked great.
