It’s easy to see why this exhibition won Best Temporary Scenography as well as winning  International Design & Communications. Based on French author Jules Vernes 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea, this is a fantasy world for children under 12yrs of age showcasing the adventures of Captain Nemo and his giant replica submarine Nautilus and the wonders of the lost underwater world Atlantis.

The play based learning incorporates touch exploration and hands-on immersive play experiences – deep sea dive dress ups, treasure hunts within the galleon, a seaweed maze within a life-size kelp forest, a giant squid slide, play a bubble pipe organ, explore deep sea curiosities and mysteries, take control of the helm, sleep on a bunk, get the propeller to crank investigate a whale tooth and a whole treasure trove more.

Make sure you also experience the all new hi-tech immersive ACTION STATIONS exploring military life at sea including the Mini Mariners Play, a space for the under 5 yrs olds featuring sandy seashores and under the sea activities stimulating development of minds and curiosity.  For the older kids, there’s the immersive warship cinema, a discovery and exploration space and three ex-Navy vessels, most real is the submarine vessel incorporating drama and danger aboard the newly decommissioned HMAS Onslow.

This summer look up the fantastic holiday programs, buy a big ticket (includes entry to all visitor spaces as well as tours of the Submarine & Destroyer) and climb aboard and jump on in for plenty of family-friendly fun.
