Weet-Bix Cookbook
Healthy snacks that are easy to make and that the kids love are always a winner – so when Weet-Bix recently asked me to be part of their cookbook I knew that our afternoon smoothie would be a perfect addition.
I don’t know about your house – but around here, after a school-day, afternoon tea needs to be served as soon as possible {preferably even before that}.
My kids are huge fans of mango banana smoothies – they are ridiculously easy to make, all natural and with the addition of a Weet-Bix they totally fill the kids up until dinner time.
We love using either the Aussie frozen mango cheeks (from our local grocer) or a fresh mango when they are in season. Add a banana, a cup of milk and a Weet-Bix in your blender and blend for 60 seconds = 2 kid sized smoothies that will keep them out of your hair until dinner time.
To launch the Weet-Bix Cookbook the guys at Sanitarium have given me two hampers (valued at $100 each) to give away to two lucky readers.
