The team of volunteers behind Puffing Billy have been busy curating a spotless museum filled with engines and train history at the new Menzies Creek Museum. Visitors can hop off Puffing Billy at the Menzies Creek train station to access the museum – or you can park nearby.
More than 10 years of building, collecting and researching Railway items from a bygone era has gone into the Menzies Creek Museum’s 1160 square metres. The museum houses over 80 exhibits, including rare operational steam and diesel locomotives, carriages and a rail tractor, as well as an operational boiler house that services steam engines, fluid pumps and 500 brake horsepower generators.
The museum can be taken as a self-guided experience or on request, enjoyed with one of our volunteer tour guides*.
*Guided tours available upon request, subject to availability (fees may apply).
