ARBORETUM CANBERRA is a stunning spot to visit - 1 ARBORETUM CANBERRA is a stunning spot to visit - 10 minutes from the centre of town it’s a great spot for lunch, running about and checking out the famous playground.
A modern arboretum is a botanical garden containing living collections of woody plants and is intended at least in part for scientific study. So while the instantly recognizable playground is a definite draw card, the rolling hills, stunning views, bonsai garden, myriad of walks - make it a space all ages can love.

High energy and lots of fun! Be sure to grab a booster from the usher for younger kids 👌🏼

THE MIDNIGHT GANG live on stage
 Regent Theatre
 Friday 9 - Sunday 11 April 2021
David Walliams' bestselling book, THE MIDNIGHT GANG, is brought to life on Melbourne's Regent Theatre stage in a play by Maryam Master, from 9-11 April.

Twelve year old Tom unexpectedly finds himself lonely and lost in the children’s ward of St
Crook's Hospital, away from his family and at the mercy of evil Matron. Tom feels like he’ll never
leave, but his fellow young patients have other ideas.

PARLIAMENT HOUSE in Canberra is a rite of passage, PARLIAMENT HOUSE in Canberra is a rite of passage, right? Also can we talk about how bright the autumn sun is in Canberra?! 😎🤩
As part of the “grade 6 camp Charlie never had thanks to 2020” trip to Canberra we ticked off this bucket list experience... minus interesting tit-bits of information from me... as I’ve never been either! But grade 6 camp legend @katekorber came to the rescue with some interesting insights, like: did you know that the colour of the Senate comes from the colour of the soil in central Australia, and the House of Reps colours come from eucalyptus trees... and the giant pillars in the foyers symbolize giant gum trunks? Anyway we went without knowing these things and still enjoyed wandering about and looking at stuff/places we’ve only seen on TV (except Immi who did go on her actual grade 6 camp. Immi shared an interesting fact with us - the fountain in the center of the building is designed so that conversations can’t be overheard.. sneaky eh!). We visited Parliament House after a morning at Old Parliament and a couple of hours at Questacon - so we were a little fatigued by this point (hence crazy selfie’s in the Senate). The cafe upstairs is a solid spot for late lunch (Charlie recommends the soup) and also the gift shop wine isn’t too bad 😝 (especially given the lack of bottle shops in our area).
