I must say, there aren’t many times in my life I’ve felt like Charlie Bucket, as he crossed the threshold of the Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, but I was just as excited as my two when we walked into Legoland at Chadstone today.
We worked through the maze of LEGOLAND sights on our way to LEGO’s Australian 4D premiere of Officer in Pursuit. We stopped to check the Space Control Station and LEGOLAND’s own diorama of Melbourne City; complete with Luna Park, Yarra River, MCG and a myriad of Melbourne’s most iconic buildings in brick form.
What is 4D? Well my 8-year-old explained it to me, prior to the movie starting; 4D means the elements of Light, Wind & Rain are choreographed simultaneously to the 3D Movie, making you part of the action in one more way. Officer in Pursuit is a great light hearted cops and robbers’ flick where good rules over bad.
We were treated to the party atmosphere that can be created at LEGOLAND for kids’ birthday’s afterwards. Here the boys made their own LEGO Officer in Pursuit take home toys, enjoyed some treats & the parents got to celebrate Melbourne’s St Ali roasters with a decent coffee.
